Our spinal decompression brace is engineered to eliminate pain by anchoring your spine. The anatomically correct back panel straightens, supports, and lifts your spine while the side panels protect you.

Pain management involves utilizing the soft tissue work and modalities to reduce swelling and inflammation to improve function. Patients are medically evaluated for pharmaceutical intervention. Patients are counseled about the pros and cons of medicine and how it aides and slows certain healing patterns.

The complexity of pain management depends on the cause of the pain. This can require a wide variety of skills and techniques to treat the pain, including chiropractic therapy, medication management, physical therapy, and/or counseling.

Treatment is determined by the history of the pain, its intensity, duration, aggravating and relieving conditions, and structures involved in causing the pain. The concept behind most procedures for treating pain is that there is a specific structure in the body with nerves of sensation that is generating the pain. Pain management has a role in identifying the precise source of the problem and isolating the optimal treatment.

Spinal decompression therapy
Spinal Decompression Therapy is a non-surgical, non-chiropractic therapy to relieve back pain and other problems associated with spinal disc injuries. Spinal Decompression Treatment is non-invasive and provides gentle decompression of the disc through the use of a decompression table. This table is programmed to facilitate a gentle stretching force to spinal vertebrate. Unlike surgery that requires an extensive recovery time, most patients are able to maintain a normal work routine while undergoing treatment.

Relieving symptoms including:

  • Disc Bulge
  • Sciatica
  • Disc Herniation
  • Stenosis
  • Disc Deterioration

Spinal decompression braces
One tool that we have found especially helpful to our patients is a spinal decompression brace. These state of the art braces are head and shoulders above the cheap, flimsy, over the counter ones that never seem to work. They work by drastically reducing pressure on the discs in your back which allows you a much greater pain-free range of motion. What this means for you is that you are able to bend over further, walk longer, and get more done without taking breaks. All of these things allow you to maintain more muscle mass and bone density leading to many more years of independence and mobility.

The biggest complaints we hear about back braces are that they are uncomfortable and unsightly. We know that when patients find a brace to be uncomfortable they leave it in the closet where it does no good for anyone. For this reason we spent several years researching and testing the various models on the market before finally settling on the Performer XLS. This brace is by far the most comfortable model we have tested. We have patients riding on tractors for hours on end, mowing grass, shopping, vacuuming, shoveling snow, and even bicycling while wearing our brace. Aside from the obvious physical benefits, the emotional advantage of the independence afforded is amazing.

Naturally, there is a lot more to spinal health than just bracing. Maintaining a healthy weight through diet and exercise can drastically reduce the wear and tear on your back. Keeping proper spinal alignment with regular chiropractic adjustments ensures that your back is able to function at its highest potential. However, wearing a high quality back brace during activity will give you an immediate and measureable improvement in your quality of life.

The braces we offer in our office are thoroughly researched and tested and therefore qualify as durable medical equipment. As such they are reimbursable through Medicare and most third party insurances, leaving little or no cost to the patient.
